The Dharma by volckening The Dharma by volckening
I drew this on 9/29/07 in dedication to the Buddhist protesters in Burma [link] and Kenji Nagai [link] who was shot dead while reporting the truth. It depicts The Buddha, instead of speaking to his disciples, holding up a single flower. While the audience awaits his teachings, Kāśyapa (Maha Kassapa) alone grasps the essence of the Dharma (Law, Teaching) and smiles. Kāśyapa (pictured upper left corner) is regarded as the first patriarch of dhyāna (Zen) Buddhism and the father of the Sangha.

You know what makes this doubly great? Your political influence that inspires dedication (I've done pieces like this, not online) and a small taste of the rich history and religion of Buddhism.
You got class ;)
